چکیده

The effects of dispersion on the performance of finite-length grating-assisted output couplers drï en by ultrafast pulses are studied. Two different FDTD formulations of Lorentz dispersion are treated, and both dispersï e wa ̈eguides and grating teeth are considered. The impact of dispersion on the output beams is quantified. Unique Solution of Short Pulse Propagation in Nonlinear Fiber Bragg Grating

In this study, a new numerical method is introduced to obtain the exact shape of output pulse in the chalcogenide fiber Bragg grating (FBG). A Gaussian pulse shape with 173 ps width is used as an input pulse for lunching to a 6.6 mm nonlinear FBG. Because of bistable and hysteresis nature of nonlinear FBG the time sequence of each portion of pulse is affected the shape of output pulse. So we di...

Double-grating monochromatic beamline with ultrafast response for FLASH2 at DESY

The preliminary design of a monochromatic beamline for FLASH2 at DESY is presented. The monochromator is tunable in the 50-1000 eV energy range with resolving power higher than 1000 and temporal response below 50 fs over the whole energy range. A time-delay-compensated configuration using the variable-line-spacing monochromator design with two gratings is adopted: the first grating disperses th...

Effect of Relative Phase on the Stability of Temporal Bright Solitons in a PT- Symmetric NLDC

In this paper we numerically investigate the effect of relative phase on thestability of temporal bright solitons in a Nano PT- Symmetric nonlinear directionalcoupler (NLDC) by considering gain in bar and loss in cross. We also study the effect ofrelative phase on the output perturbed bright solitons energies, in the range of   0 to 180 . By using perturbation theory three eigenfunctions an...

Tunable nanophotonic delay lines using linearly chirped contradirectional couplers with uniform Bragg gratings.

We demonstrate an integrated tunable optical delay line in grating-assisted contradirectional couplers using a CMOS-compatible photonic technology. The input signal is delayed through dispersive Bragg gratings and distributedly coupled to the drop port of the coupler without backreflections. This add-drop design enables monolithic integration of grating-based delay lines without using optical c...

Influence of Interface Thermal Resistance on Relaxation Dynamics of Metal-Dielectric Nanocomposite Materials under Ultrafast Pulse Laser Excitation

Nanocomposite materials, including noble metal nanoparticles embedded in a dielectric host medium, are interesting because of their optical properties linked to surface plasmon resonance phenomena. For studding of nonlinear optical properties and/or energy transfer process, these materials may be excited by ultrashort pulse laser with a temporal width varying from some femtoseconds to some hund...
